Facebook videos are often available in two qualities. Here's how to get either one and when to choose each.
Step by step
- On Facebook, tap Share on the video or reel and choose Copy link.
- Paste it into the Facebook Downloader and press Get Download.
- Pick HD Video for the sharpest picture, or SD Video for a smaller file.
HD or SD?
HD looks best on big screens but the file is larger. SD downloads faster and saves phone storage, which is fine for small screens.
Long videos
A 10-minute HD video can be well over 100 MB. Use Wi-Fi if you can.
Videos that won't load
Videos in private groups or shared only with friends can't be fetched. The video must be public.
